Parking is available on site.
The THURSDAY dated meetings commence at 1415 and are held in the Pioneer Hall at the Coop Education Centre,11 Fore Street,Ipswich,IP4 1JW.
Car parking at rear of building accessed from Waterworks Street.

"The Olympic Experience",-Monday 24th September( 2012)
A digital presentation by Dave who is Train Planning Manager at Greater Anglia Railways who will explain how the Stratford area has been transformed for the Olympics and how the companys train services for the event were planned together with an overview of how the plan worked in practice.

The continuing story of Tonys 1929 built ex Accrington Corporationm Dennis E type"Ermintrude"as the vehicle is affectionately known,is a preservation celebrity and is never short of work in the area.

Presentation featuring buses in the uk taken during the last 12 months including interesting observations in connection with the London Olympics.Russell is an Operational Information Executive with Transport for London Marketing Services.
AGM Meeting followed by "The Port Of Felixstowe"-archive film-by Dave Alligan-Monday 26th November
A selection of archive film from the presenters persoanl collection including rare footage around the port including the Flying Boats.
Followed by-"Germany and the Harz mountain narrow gauge railways"-by John Day
Featuring a mainline steam journey from Berlin to Dresden and Werningrede as well as theHarz narrow gauge system during December 2011.

An illustrated talk by Reg who had almost a 50 year association with Croft Street first working at the loco and for the last 36years of his time there until 1991 in the Wagon shops.Illustrations provided from a compilation by John Day.
"The Wensleydale Railway"-by Dave Gibson- Monday 28th January( 2013)
Situated in the Yorkshire Dales the Wensleydale reopened from Leeming Bar to Leyburn in 2003,it has since extended to Redmire 17 miles from Leeming Bar.Hear how this came to fruition,how the railway operates and what the future holds.
"London Underground trains and stations"-by Brian Hardy-Thursday 21st February.
The LU isthe oldest system in the world dating back to its opening in 1863.The presentation will look at both current and and past operations,rolling stock,including locomotive operations on Aylesbury services.Stations are not left unvisited with the developments and upgrades over the years.
"Golden Steam in the American west-by Keith Halton-Monday 25th February.
A journey through US railroad heritage seen through eight steam railroads in Nevada and Colorado.The history of the West is gold and silver;the railroads were an essential part of of this.Most of the gold went long ago but its legacy is some spectacular railroads amidst magnificent scenery.Includes the legendary Virginia & Truckee and the magnificent Denver and Rio Grande,on both standard and narrow gauges,at elevations of up to 10,000 feet.

A digital presentation featuring rail,road,air transport and shipping taken on some of the the presenters many trips abroad.Whilst mainly in the USA images from visits to Argentina and Europe will alos be shown.

There are several anniversaries for our bus operator this year,it is 110 years since electric tramstook to our streets;twenty years later the first trolleybuses appeared but on a sadder note,August 2013 will see the fiftieth anniversary of the final trolleybus.The Ipswich Transport Museum will present a programme recalling that sixties period when the towns streets were served electrically powered public transport.
