The NNR's late summer gala is the curtain raiser to similar events around the country. Showcasing a mix of visiting and home locomotives, it's as popular with visiting holidaymakers as it is with enthusiasts.

50 019 Running Day
An opportunity to travel for 100 miles behind a former express locomotive - today, the popular resident locomotive 50 019 "Ramillies" will be in operation. Services will operate from Dereham at 08:15, 10:15, 13:00, 15:15 and 17:15 and returning from Wymondham Abbey at 09:15, 11:15, 14:00, 16:15 and 18:15.

1940s Weekend
Come and enjoy the 1940s weekend on the North Norfolk Railway, our most popular event for adults by far! Over the years this event has attracted more and more visitors and more and more exhibitors. It is widely felt to be one of the best events of its type in the country. People who attended last year were booking accommodation before they left as they enjoyed it so much! Come in uniform or 1940s civilian dress to add to the atmosphere. Don't forget your gas mask and ration books!

Class 37 Golden Jubilee
The showpiece event of our 2010 season celebrating 50 years of the Class 37 locomotive. We hope to have ten examples of the class in service including resident engine 37003 and visiting locos from West Coast Railway Company, DB Schenker and Direct Rail Services (subject to availability). The weekend will also see the launch of the Thuxton passing loop permitting two-train running on the MNR for the first time since opening to Wymondham in 1999.
